Open Position:

Battery Technician

A Battery Technician is responsible for startups, certifications, preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance for battery systems related to Uninterruptable Power Supply systems. Skills:

  • Technician must be reliable, organized and professional with solid customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in various challenging situations
  • Able to work from schematic diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions
  • Field Service experience a plus

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints
    • Working knowledge of OHM’s law and electronic theory
    • Knowledge of basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and electronic circuitry
    • Required hours are sometimes irregular requiring late/early business day and weekend work
    • Must be able to lift 50lb + lb. batteries
    • Ability to make basic site evaluation’s
    • Clean driving record a must
    • Elementary fix/repair techniques based on directed supervision
    • Capable of completing tasks and return unit to full operating conditions based upon directed supervision
    • Excellent working knowledge of electricity and the electro-chemical theory of batteries a plus
    • Strong Mechanical aptitude

While performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell.  The associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balance.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Must have ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds PowerServ Technologies Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
